Graduation Rates Rise Across Coral Springs High Schools

Most education stories focus on disruption. This one points to something steadier.

Recently released Florida Department of Education data show graduation rates climbing across several Coral Springs–area high schools, with gains that extend beyond a single graduating class.

At J.P. Taravella High School, the graduation rate rose to 97.2 percent in 2025, up from 93.9 percent the year before.

That increase continues a longer upward trend. Since 2022, the school’s graduation rate has climbed more than six percentage points.

Other Coral Springs schools posted similarly strong results.

Coral Glades High School recorded a 98.2 percent graduation rate, continuing a steady rise over the past five years.

Coral Springs High School held firm at 98.1 percent, up from 94.8 percent just three years ago.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which serves parts of Coral Springs, reported a 99.4 percent graduation rate.

The local gains mirror a broader milestone for Broward County Public Schools. Districtwide, the graduation rate reached 91.4 percent in 2025, marking the first time in more than two decades that it surpassed 90 percent.

All 36 traditional high schools in the district posted graduation rates of at least 90 percent, with most exceeding 95 percent.

Why this matters now

Graduation rates are not a complete measure of educational success, but they are a meaningful signal of consistency.

When gains hold across multiple schools and multiple years, they suggest systems that are stabilizing rather than reacting.

For families, the numbers reflect schools that are keeping students on track.

For the city, they add to a growing picture of long-term investments paying off slowly, whether in infrastructure, planning, or education.

This is not a victory lap. It is a snapshot of momentum.
