One of Those Full Weeks in Coral Springs

One of Those Full Weeks in Coral Springs
A mix of traditions, local pride, shared moments, and things to look forward to.

Jan 29, 2026

This felt like one of those weeks that has a little bit of everything.

There’s something fun, something meaningful, and a few reminders of why routines and community events matter. Here are the highlights that felt worth sharing.

Tijuana Taxi Co Restaurant

Tijuana Taxi Co is casual, colorful, and built for an easy night out.

We filmed both the interior and exterior to capture the festive vibe and looked at what keeps the experience reliably fun for regulars.

What is SENTY?
SENTY™ is our way of taking a calmer look at local businesses, focusing on patterns in recent customer experiences rather than just overall star averages.

(This week’s SENTY Spotlight above features a local business reviewed in-depth on our Coral Springs Business Guide.)

The Middle of a Busy Week

Some weeks hold a little bit of everything. A reason to smile, something meaningful to reflect on, and a reminder that life keeps moving in between.

Finding a steady routine in the middle of all that is often what helps it all make sense.

On Saturday, February 7, City Hall becomes something different.

Coral Springs’ annual Community Concert & Celebration pairs the State of the City address with live music, food trucks, and a relaxed evening on the Grand Lawn.

The address begins at 5 p.m., followed by a free outdoor concert headlined by Absolute Queen, with an opening performance from local musicians at School of Rock.

It’s one of the few nights each year where civic updates and community life share the same space — less formal, more human.

Families spread out on the grass, neighbors linger, and City Hall briefly feels like a front lawn instead of a building you pass by.

The Moment Arrives for Coral Springs Skater Andrew Torgashev

Just weeks after returning home to reconnect with where his skating journey began, Coral Springs native Andrew Torgashev secured his place on Team USA.

Torgashev earned the spot with a second-place finish at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, delivering a clean free skate that left little doubt about his readiness for the international stage.

The result confirms what many local supporters sensed during his recent visit back to Coral Springs. This was no longer about potential. It was about timing.

For a skater who trained at the Coral Springs rink as a teenager, the path from local ice to the Olympic team has now come into focus.

Each January, Girl Scout cookie season returns — and with it, a hands-on learning experience that teaches girls goal-setting, money management, and leadership in real time.

Running January 12 through February 15, the season funds local programs across Broward County and supports community efforts like Cookies for the Military, which has delivered more than 858,000 boxes to service members over the years.

The cookies may be what people see — but the skills are the point.
